Needs Assessment

A human services needs assessment done for the Merrimack County, New Hampshire United Way revealed five clusters of needs at the top of public concern throughout the region—health care needs, teenagers’ needs, child-rearing needs, substance abuse problems and transportation needs.

The Merrimack County assessment is one of many such needs assessments done by Millyn Moore & Associates. The research method includes focus groups with key informant groups and individuals and telephone interviews with several hundred households in the community.

In this graph, the width of each bar shows the range of statistical uncertainty around each average seriousness score. Bars which overlap should be considered tied scores.
